Delete Your AlphaLuma Account and Data
This page explains how to request deletion of your account and personal data for the AlphaLuma app (developer: Turing Vision), on both Android (Google Play) and iOS (App Store). You do not need to have the app installed to make a request.
How to request deletion
- Send an email to sonyalphainfo@126.com with the subject "AlphaLuma account deletion request".
- Send it from the email address of your AlphaLuma account. If you signed in with Google, use your Google account's email address; if you signed in with Apple, use the email address shown for your account in the app (it may be an Apple "Hide My Email" relay address). If you cannot send from that address, tell us the account's email address and we will send a confirmation message to it.
- In the email, tell us which app you use (Android or iOS) and whether you also want the recipes and images you published to the community deleted.
- We will reply to confirm the request comes from the account owner. After confirmation, we delete your account and data within 30 days and email you when it is done.
Before you delete: deleting your account does not cancel a subscription. Cancel it in the store first, otherwise it will keep renewing — on Android: Google Play Store → profile icon → Payments & subscriptions → Subscriptions; on iOS: Settings → your name → Subscriptions. Refunds are handled by Google Play or Apple under their policies; see our Refund Policy.
What we delete
- Your account: email address, password (stored only in hashed form), nickname, avatar, user ID, and profile details, and the link to your Google or Apple sign-in. You are signed out on all devices and the account can no longer be used.
- Your membership status stored with our subscription provider (RevenueCat) for that user ID.
- Community recipes, images, and other content you published, if you ask us to (see step 3). If you don't, they remain visible in the community without your profile information.
- Analytics data linked to your user ID: we ask Mixpanel and Google Firebase to delete it.
- Your support emails and feedback, after your request is closed (see below).
What we keep, and for how long
- Purchase records (transaction identifiers, product, dates, amounts): kept for as long as required by tax and accounting laws, generally up to 7 years, and used only for those legal obligations and to handle refunds or disputes. Google Play and Apple keep their own purchase records under their own policies.
- Crash reports (Firebase Crashlytics): deleted automatically within 90 days.
- Aggregated or de-identified analytics that can no longer be linked to you: kept for up to 14 months.
- Backups: deleted data is removed from our backups within 90 days.
- Our correspondence about your deletion request: kept for up to 12 months after the request is closed, as a record that we handled it, then deleted.
- Data we are required to keep by law, or to resolve a dispute or prevent fraud, only for as long as that requires.
Recipes and settings stored only on your phone (or in your own iCloud account on iOS) are not on our servers; remove them by deleting the app or its data on your device.
Delete only some of your data
You can delete individual recipes, images, and posts you published in the app at any time. To delete other data without deleting your account, email sonyalphainfo@126.com and tell us what you would like removed. For more about how we handle your data, see our Privacy Policy.
