Why We Built AlphaLuma
As Sony Alpha shooters ourselves, we spent years hunting for the perfect Creative Look recipe, only to find settings scattered across forums, Reddit threads, and YouTube comments. We wanted a single place to browse, save, and share recipes — and when we couldn't find one, we decided to build it.
What Is AlphaLuma?
AlphaLuma is a companion app for Sony Alpha cameras. It helps you:
- Browse Creative Look recipes — Hundreds of curated presets for every shooting style, from street photography to cinematic video.
- Add professional watermarks — Over 100 border and watermark styles that embed your EXIF data directly onto the image.
- Import settings from photos — Snap a Sony JPEG, and AlphaLuma reads the embedded Creative Look parameters automatically.
- Share recipes with QR codes — Generate a QR code for any recipe so friends can scan and apply it instantly.
Our Vision
We believe every Sony photographer deserves tools as refined as their camera. AlphaLuma isn't trying to be a general-purpose photo editor — it's laser-focused on the Sony Creative Look ecosystem.
Our roadmap includes community recipe rankings, batch watermark processing, and deeper integration with Sony's camera lineup. We're building this in the open, and your feedback shapes every update.
