Which Sony cameras work with AlphaLuma
AlphaLuma writes Creative Look recipes to Sony Alpha cameras over USB. The body needs Creative Look in its menu (the newer menu generation, α7S III onward — but some later compact bodies such as the α7C, ZV-E10 and ZV-1 still use Creative Style; the camera menu is the authority). USB verified on α7 V, α7 IV, α7C II, α7CR, α7R V, ZV-E1. Other Creative Look bodies are untested — plug in and try; the app checks after reading the camera and writes nothing if unsupported. Creative Style bodies such as the α7 III and α6400 cannot receive recipes. Third-party app, not affiliated with Sony. Updated 2026-09-19.
Bodies with Creative Look
The base-looks column is filled only where we checked: most bodies have ten (ST, PT, NT, VV, VV2, FL, IN, SH, BW, SE); the newest add FL2 and FL3. Blank means unchecked.

Creative Style bodies (not supported)
These bodies get searched for “Creative Look recipes” but do not have Creative Look in the menu. The parameter model is different, so a recipe cannot be written or typed in.

How to connect
Only one camera setting matters: set USB Connection Mode to Remote Shooting (PC Remote on some bodies), then unplug and replug. Full steps and troubleshooting are in the USB connection guide.
FAQ
- My camera is not on the list. Will it work?
- If the camera menu has Creative Look, plug in and try. The app checks after reading the body and writes nothing if it is unsupported.
- Why not the A7 III or A6400?
- Those bodies use the older Creative Style. Its parameters do not map to Creative Look, so a recipe cannot be written — or typed in — on them.
- What does “verified” mean here?
- We wrote a recipe from the app over USB to a real body, then read every value back in the camera menu. It is not inferred from a spec sheet.
